Abstract : This report presents the results of archaeological monitoring of the St. Peter Street Floodgates Project, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. Construction took place on an elevated railroad embankment. No archaeological resources were encountered. Depth of excavation never went below artificial fill associated with the railroad embankment or with modern steel and concrete construction.
