Abstract : This review deals with the chemical reactions, ignition, and combustion of lithium combustion in air and in the components of air, including oxygen, nitrogen, water, and carbon dioxide. It was found that lithium reacts vigorously with these substances. In addition, a review of extinguishing lithium fires is included. Of the extinguishing agents, carbon has been found to be the most effective.
