Abstract : This Flying Safety Topic Kit emphasizes the acute effects of alcohol on performance and aviation. In particular, it discusses the available preparations, absorption, metabolism, physiology, and pharmacology of alcohol. More recent data on altitude, nystagmus, and hangovers are included. Although designed for a flight surgeon to present to aircrew, it could also be presented to general audience with minimal alterations. (js)
