Abstract : The purpose of the CISE Study was to install, test, and evaluate the Combat Identification Systems COMO Integrated Air Defense (CISCIAD) Model with the goal of replacing the COMO Integrated Air Defense (CIAD) Model at the US army Concepts Analysis Agency (CAA). The basic approach was to execute a series of identical scenarios with both models and compare output results. The CISCIAD Model was found to contain numerous errors in the air-to-air logic, and the decision was made to defer further consideration at CAA until a later date when the model has reached a better level of maturity. This report documents the tests performed and the corrections made to the model during the course of the study. Keywords: Computer modeling, Air defense, IFF systems, Command control communications, Airspace management, VAX 8600 computers, Aerial warfare, Computerized simulation.
