Abstract : A non-LTE dynamic pinch model - SIMPLODE - has been developed and applied to describing the implosion dynamics of a K-shell radiating gas puff. Numerical simulations have been carried out with neon gas puffs and compared with recent experimental results obtained on GAMBLE II.
