Abstract : In this study the application of Artificial Intelligence methods to Synthetic Aperture Radars (SARs) is investigated. It was shown that the neuron-like Adaptive Learning Controller (ALC), operating in the extremizing mode suggested by Klopf, can be used successfully in the motion compensation system of a SAR.
