Abstract : A series of tests were conducted in 24 Navy family housing units to determine the effectiveness of three retrofit techniques in reducing air leakage. Effectiveness was determined by fan pressurization/depressurization tests before and after the retrofits were installed. In two other housing units, other types of retrofits were simulated by using tape and plastic sheeting at suspected leakage points. This report covers the measurements techniques used, air leakage data collected, and conclusions and recommendations based on the tests. (Author)
