Abstract : In modern day explosive manufacturing and LAP facilities, many of the structural steel buildings will be required to provide protection for personnel and/or equipment against the effects of HE-type explosions. Therefore, computer program entitled 'Dynamic Nonlinear Frame Analysis' (DYNFA) has been developed whereby the responses of frame structures subjected to blast loadings can be determined. This report contains the background for the development of DYNFA as well as the equations and procedures necessary for its use. The report also contains example problems illustrating the use of DYNFA for the design of blast- resistant frame structure. (Author)
