Abstract : The objective of this program was to develop, design, and flight test a roll-axis Hydrofluidic Stability Augmentation System (HYSAS) for the OH-58A helicopter. The system, when used with a yaw HYSAS, provides increased vehicle damping which improves the handling characteristics. Flight test evaluations were performed with satisfactory results.
