Abstract : The transmissions of ultraviolet, visible, and infrared radiation by the cornea, lens, and aqueous humor of rhesus monkeys were measured with spectrophotometers and from this the absorption coefficients were calculated over the spectral range from 200 nanometers in the ultraviolet through 15 micrometers in the infrared. Similar transmission data from previous studies on both human and rhesus monkey eyes were also converted to absorption coefficients.
