Abstract : A computer-based probabilistic expert system to predict mobility and burial of underwater munitions is under development. This Underwater Munitions Expert System (UnMES) will help guide remediation management of underwater sites contaminated with abandoned munitions. This report documents the progress made in the development of UnMES during the Project MR-2227 contract period (2013-2016). The objective of this project is to build a demonstration computer tool implementing a probabilistic system that will predict patterns of migration, exposure and aggregation for underwater munitions.
