Abstract : tRFs are precisely generated fragments of tRNA which are shown to function by associating to Argonaute proteins. Unlike microRNA, the biogenesis of tRFs is independent of Dicer and Drosha enzymes. Upon meta-analysis of more than 50 small RNA-seq data of different species and cell lines we have previously shown the presence of fragments generated from both 5 and 3 end of the tRNA and called them as tRF-5 and tRF-3, respectively. We are now interested in mining TCGA prostate cancer patients data to identify tRFs and predict potential targets involved in prostate cancer cell migration and proliferation.
