Abstract : Department of Defense Policy 5200.44 requiresTrusted sourcing for mission critical integrated circuits, yet economic forces have caused the semiconductor industry to predominantly shift overseas. Concurrently, time to market and complex system requirements are increasingly outside the budget range of standalone DoD projects. This paper presents options for addressing these challenges and proposes a flexible Secure ASIC architecture.
