Abstract : Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a cross-cutting technology with significant implications for the U.S. manufacturing base and naval warfare. it can shorten the design to production cycle, enable new designs and facilitate cost effective on-demand manufacturing. coupled with digital design and manufacturing, AM will improve warfighting systems in ways never before imagined.
