Abstract : The goal of this pilot study is to develop novel mathematical methods, by leveraging tools developed in the bifurcation theory, to infer the underlying cell-state dynamics from single-cell gene expression data. Our proposed method contains two steps. The first step is to reconstruct the temporal order of the cells from gene expression data, whereas the second step is to model the dynamic changes of gene expression patterns. The tools developed here will be useful for reconstruct developmental trajectories from single-cell gene expression data.
