Abstract : This report describes the unique issues of pointing an automated weapon by an indirect fire system. Due to different frames of reference, between the calculated firing solution and the platform that the weapon is mounted to, a mathematical transformation is required to move the firing solution from its reference frame to a reference frame that is meaningful to the weapon system. This report describes the aforementioned problem in detail and provides a systematic solution using a series of equations.
