Abstract : Air Force Special Operations Forces (AFSOF) continuously deploy throughout the world with little sign of future relief. Many conflicts involving AFSOF are dynamic in nature. Such conflicts today are different from those of the past. Future conflicts and threats may prove even more challenging. Given the ever-changing character of the threat, Air Commandos need to be adaptive, innovative, and flexible as they continue to play an integral role in defeating adversaries of the United States. To meet the requirements levied upon it, Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) continues to grow the number of its personnel and platforms.
