Abstract : The purpose of this report is to provide management recommendations developed from research on establishing longleaf pine within loblolly pine stands. The recommendations focus on canopy management and cultural practices to favor longleaf pine seedling establishment and early growth. The report provides foresters and managers information relevant to regenerating longleaf pine without removing the entire loblolly pine canopy, i.e., without clearcutting.
