Abstract : On a daily basis, the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is responsible for operation of hydraulically powered machinery systems. Some of these machinery systems are land-based (installed in land facilities or off-road vehicles such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, etc.), while others are installed on floating plants (such as steering systems, winches, capstans, etc.).
