Abstract : This report documents research in developing a new source for the production of correlated/entangled photon pairs based on the unique nanolayer properties of topological insulator (TI) materials. The fast nonlinear optical-response of magneto-optic effect together with large third order nonlinearity in TI: Bi2Se3 offers a singular opportunity for accurate quantum operations in secure quantum communications and quantum computation.
