Abstract : Analysis of plasma generators for testing reentry communications systems; Simulation of reentry plasmas by electrodeless discharges; Shock tube simulation of re-entry plasma flows and their microwave noise emission; An experimental study of plasma-covered slotted-cylinder antennas; Interaction of electromagnetic waves with the exhaust flame of launch vehicles; Information loss caused by reentry plasma dispersion; Development of a probe for the measurement of point values of electron densities in supersonic flows; Measurement of plasma parameters using a radial transmission line; Reflectometer measurement of the plasma sheath encountered during the project asset flights; Plasma sheath reduction by electron attachment processes; The effect of chemical additives on microwave transmission in an air plasma; and Reduction of free electron concentration in a reentry plasma by injection of liquids.
