Abstract : This report contains a general analysis of the costs of operating a slush-hydrogen-production system with and without reliquefaction of the effluent gas to determine whether the costs involved would be too great to make the system feasible. Two reclamation schemes were considered - a cold vacuum pump system and a warm vacuum pump system. This analysis indicates that the slush-hydrogen-production process is a feasible way to maintain liquid hydrogen with either of the reclamation schemes and that costs would not be unreasonable.
