Abstract : A variety of defoliants and vegetation killers were tested in South Vietnam to evaluate their effectiveness in denuding jungle growth. Both recognized and unidentified species of grasses, shrubs, and trees were sprayed from the air or with ground equipment. Results were recorded in color photographs. Effectiveness varied from poor to excellent. Controlling factors were limited equipment, low dosage rates, and meteorological conditions.
