Abstract : The thermistor-type RF hazard detector was developed for the purpose of detecting hazards to premature ignition of propulsion systems. Thermistors are used as sensing elements to detect temperature rise on the squib bridgewire. Its sensitivity is sufficient to detect a temperature increase in a one-ohm bridgewire produced by a d.c. current flow of one-fourth of a milliampere. The sensitivity of this instrument is much greater than that of any other device now available. (Author)
