Abstract : The purpose of this test was to determine the deterioration of spaghetti tubing when exposed to fungi growth. The spaghetti tubing was subjected to a series of simulated tropical environmental aging tests and then inoculated with fungi and a combination of nutrients. The results gave evidence of only one type tubing supporting fungus growth. Fungi growth can be kept to a minimum by restrictive selection of plastics used for electrical insulating material.
