Abstract : Numerous areas of microbiology entailing the mechanism of virulence in Pasteurella pestis and Pasteurella pseudotuberculosis are discussed. This manuscript reviews some findings on pesticins and relates these substances to 'conversion' of P. pestis to P pseudotuberculosis. (Author)
