Abstract : There was need for a flexible complex of receiving and evaluating instruments for sensing physiological and biologic analyses performed remotely by various field transducers. This need has been met by the design and development of TELUS (Telemetric Universal Sensor), a one-man laboratory console capable of receiving, dquantitating, comparing, coding, storing, searching, retrieving, and distributing electrical and electromagnetic data. These data are received and distributed by radio and telephone. Field tests of TELUS indicate good performance characteristics of evaluating four channels of telemetered data and providing two-way communication between the laboratory and remote testing areas.
