Abstract : A correlation is established between the amplitudes of micropulsations of an electromagnetic field and the variations of luminous flux for individual periods of variations. It is asserted that the simultaneous change in both the ionizing and the exciting capacity of the solar corpuscular stream is the cause of variations, while the amplitude and the number of magnetic micropulsations is regulated by the dynamic action of the ionospheric wind. It is shown that the appearance of Sip-type micropulsations is associated with the appearance of sporadic formations in the ionospheric E layer and is controlled by those zones of the ionosphere in which the lower limit of the auroras is situated.
