Abstract : Experiments were carried out to produce a constant velocity jet from shaped charges. Tests were conducted in atmosphere and at reduced pressures. Liner geometries, types of explosive, and wave shaping techniques were varied systematically to produce an elongated jet which approached a velocity of 14.0 km/sec.
