Abstract : Basic information about RF Propagation phenomena in tropical environment is needed to develop improved equipment and techniques for use by military forces in Southeast Asia and other areas of similar environment. RF propagation measurements are being made at test frequencies between 100 KC and 10 gc to accomplish this mission. The results of such measurements made in Thailand during May 1964 through November 1964 are graphically represented. Transmission path loss as a function of both distance and receiving antennas height, as well as monthly variations of surface refractivity, temperature, barometric pressure, and rainfall are illustrated.
