Abstract : Various clear vehicle films were irradiated in air with a mercury arc lamp and the volatile products were identified by infrared spectroscopy. The films included alkyd, oil, vinyl-alkyd, vinyl acetate, epoxy-amine, and epoxy-polyamide films. A number of new absorption peaks were obtained from the products and some of these were identified. The major product of all the films was carbon dioxide. (Author)
