Abstract : Transport measurement by means of electrical resistivity is used to determine structural changes in supercooled gallium. The results are interpreted in the light of clustering phenomena deduced by McLaughlin and Ubbelohde from viscosity data of tin. The change in electrical resistivity of gallium with increased supercooling is found to be linear. From this, an estimate of the upper bound of cluster size is deduced. The rate of increase in cluster concentration is also deduced to level off with increased supercooling. It is suggested that self-diffusion and viscosity measurements, as well as liquid X-ray analysis be attempted to supplement this work. (Author)
