Abstract : The anodic polarization of iron in sulfuric acid was investigated by the potentiodynamic method. Polarization was performed with an electronic potentiostat which was programmed by a synchronous motor. The effects of potential traverse rate and direction, and electrode pre-treatment are discussed.
