Abstract : A method for automatically plotting spin-wave instability threshold data (butterfly curves) is described. The plotting system uses a servo loop to lock the power level of a microwave signal at the spin-wave instability threshold level while the applied magnetic field is swept. Typical data obtained using this method are presented and compared with data taken manually. (Author)
