Abstract : A simple solution is presented for the design of time optimal-control for discrete-data systems subject to control signal saturation. The state-space approach is used to determine the optimum control policy which is required to take the process, as represented by the state vector x(t), from a given initial state to a prescribed desired state in minimum time. numerical examples are worked out to illustrate the design technique. The result is also verified by means of analog simulation. (Author)
