Abstract : This report presents the salient points of hydrophone development at Hudson Laboratories in the past five years. Described are hydrophones designed for extreme ocean depths and others designed for the effective minimization of signal due to accelerative motion as opposed to the acoustic signal. Horizontal towable arrays as well as specially designed test equipment are also described.
