Abstract : Certain problems are considered in the theory of oscillations in solutions to nonlinear nonautonomous systems from the point of view of the existence of several equilibrium positions. The motions of such systems are classified and certain problems concerning their oscillations are formulated. A class of equations is considered for which the nature of the oscillations in their solutions is independent of the initial conditions. Certain results connected with finding domains of oscillation (nonoscillation) and the behavior of the analog of the amplitude of oscillatory motion is also discussed. (Author)
