Abstract : This study was conducted to examine operator ability to detect targets on a closed-circuit television (TV) screen as a function of mode of presentation and exposure time. The results indicated significant differences between modes of presentation (TV vs. slide projection) and exposure times (0.3 second, one second, and five seconds), as well as a significant interaction between the mode of presentation and exposure time.
