Abstract : The lowering of minimum weather conditions for the landing of transport aircraft poses problems of accuracy and safety. Accuracy must be such as to necessitate no major path adjustment in transition, which leads to the definition of guidance. Safety will be obtained by giving the pilot sufficient information to detect breakdowns and regain control by giving up the approach. The safeties, which are called internal and external, make it possible to detect the dynamic and static breakdowns. (Author)
