Abstract : Representative internal and external noise environments are described for each major type of Army aircraft during normal operations. Measurements for all fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft are classified, when appropriate, into four major categories: ground operations, hovering flight, normal, and maximum cruise conditions. The contributions of major noise generators in each type of aircraft is discussed in detail.
