Abstract : Attention has been focused on the development of relationships to predict the mobility and firepower characteristics of future tanks with specified hardware components. Research in the areas of soft-soil agility and cross-country mobility is presented. An analysis of the effects of cant on accuracy of the tank main gun is reported, and work in target detection and first-round firing time is described. The initial formulation of a tactical performance model for tank units is explained.
