Abstract : Fluoroalkyl esters of boric, phosphoric, silicic and sulfurous acids, boroxines and alkoxydifluoroborane trimers were prepared as possible extinguishants for metallic and/or exotic propellant fires. Their mode of action is to form an inorganic oxide coating on metals.
