Abstract : A study of the probability of hitting and of wounding for a family of rifles is made. The rifles are compared on the basis of the single shot probability and the expected number of kills for a given total weight of rifle and ammunition. Some experimental data on a commercial cal. .220 rifle are included. (Author)
