Abstract : A theory by which pneumatic tire sinkage and motion resistance can be calculated has been developed. The formulae based on this theory have been verified by comparing experimental results obtained from tests conducted on several different soils with predicted results using the equations. The agreement between experimental and predicted results was acceptable.
