Abstract : This report presents human engineering information on the hand size of the soldier wearing various ensembles of Quartermaster protective handwear. It is intended for use as a handbook by engineers for establishing size and space allowances in the design and sizing of hand-operated equipment. The criterion employed is the bare hand size that is equal to or bigger than the hand size of 95% of the Army personnel, i.e., the 95th percentile of the Army hand size distribution. The information is presented in pictorial form with index scales, so that dimensions can be measured on the pictures and referred to the index scale to establish actual size.
