Abstract : Attempts were made to relate the performance of industrial personnel on tests of reasoning (R) and creative thinking (CT) with supervisor's ratings obtained prior to the tests. Ratings of R and CT factors were too high relative to the reliabilities to serve as unique indicators of the factors. Therefore, validation of the factor measures against the ratings as criteria was impossible. Rankings of the subjects for creativity suggested some correlation with two of the R and two of the CT tests.
