Abstract : An evaluation of the in-flight combat individual food packet was based on the questionnaire responses of 1771 subjects at 8 US Air Force bases after each subject had consumed a packet. The results indicated an acceptability for most food items of the packet and a direct correlation between acceptability and consumption. Some revisions in the menu and more precise methods of controlling the assembly of the predetermined menus were recommended.
