Abstract : The vapor pressure of sea salt solutions, ranging in concentration from dilute sea water to saturated solutions, was obtained experimentally for temperatures between the freezing point and 30 deg C. A modification of the technique of Gibson and Adams (JACS 55:2679-2695, 1933) was used. Dissolved gases were removed from the samples by vacuum sublimation of the solution. The results of Higashi (J. Soc. Chem. Ind. Japan, 34:166-172, 1931) at temperatures from 30 deg to 175 deg C were resmoothed and tied in with the results of this investigation.
